This problem coming from me, a programmer for 2 years with dark dark basic, seems a bit elementry. None the less this is driving me nuts and I can't figure it out. I think it's from programming to much... gots me all rattled in side ya know? Well anyway, I hope you understand and can help a fella out here.

I make an object in Anim8tor and save it is a .x file. I put it in the respective darkbasic project folder and ask DB to load the object. It compiles right and everything, but then I hit execute and it says object does not exist. The strange thing is I then save it as a .3ds and it actually takes me to the blue screen but the object is nowhere in sight (yes I looked for it).

I feel so stupid.

Wow, if you think you feel stupid, you should see my face right now, because I would have bet my life that Anim8tor doesn't have the ability to save a .X file. I demo'd it last month and didn't continue using it for that very reason. All the posts I've seen in the forums say the same thing.

So don't feel stupid, let me do it instead... What am I missing?

I am not sure about the issue loading the .X file without beign able to take a look at your code and the model, if you are placing it in the same directory as your .dbpro and .dba files, then it should load.

As far as the problem with the .3DS, where are you placing your camera in the scene, where are you pointing it, and have you checked the normals on your model to make sure they are facing the proper direction?

Those are my first thoughts. Hope something helps.
