Hey I finally got round to texturing and rigging my Soldier character, tell me what you think.

This image has a slightly tweaked texture, mainly on the face, the others are slightly older images.

Not too bad, but he's got some proportion issues going on. His arms are too thin and tubular, and his hands look too small. His legs might be a little short and they are also a little too tubular. He looks pretty nice rigged up, but I'd definatly look for some proportion reference. www.fineart.sk used to have some good free smaples, but I'm not sure if it still does. Also, maybe try lowering his eyes and give him more pornounced upper eyelids and eyebrows. He looks surprised right now. Looking pretty nice, though, and I hope that helps some.

Cheers, legs are ok, but i agree about the arms, in fact when i was riggin him the arms were/are the hardest and the least well rigged part of it. Ive fixed the eyes now (the face is now as seen in the top pic, rather than the rest), but the face in general it is relying on fairly low poly. My next model will have a higher poly face.
Thanks for the site reference.

Thinking bout doing some life drawing classes to help.

Pete

Looks pretty impressive to me. I think some of the suggested tweaks would help, but it's off to a fantastic start.
