Spent about 3 hours on a man model today. He ended up looking better as a zombie as I progressed, so here's a zombie.

[href][/href]

I'm looking for some critique as to how to fix this guy up. The one you see here has been sub-divided from a lower polygon version.

Hope you like it, and can give me some crique.

1.) Does the 1 white eye look good? Should he have an eyeball? Or should I cover his face up?

2.) Is seeing the zombies lips good, or should I hide them as well?

3.) Is the texture fitting? Shall I try to include some rips, or perhaps make another version with rips and scars?

4.) Anything else.

Not sure if I'm going to use this in a game, a mini-movie, or both. Would like to give him a nice animation no matter what though.

A book? I hate book. Book is stupid.

C&C for a zombie? Sure...

I'd say...give him eyeless sockets with a red glowing ball in the middle of em. Though, that's just my personal opinion. Pupilless eyes could go well with it too.

From the screenshots, personally, I'd get rid of them. But make them look different if you want to keep them. Maybe an open mouth with fangs in em, or a wide mournful look. Right now he looks like he's about to kiss someone.

Currently, no, the texture does not seem fitting at all. It looks like a procedural texture was just slapped onto it based on face material. Add some rips, some scars, maybe give the skin a more decaying human look to it, not green and scaly. Add some detail too, like some raises where the skin or clothes would be tight against bone or decaying muscle or organs.

His Torso looks more like a subdivided cube, maybe if you round it out a bit, and make it a bit skinnier around the stomach, to show that his skin has been tightening around his decaying body.

Also, his legs look to be more square than they should too. Round those out a bit too.

And proportion wise, it's body seems to be a bit long. Did it spend too much time in the graveyard and let gravity squish it a bit

Hope that all can help.

Cheers,
Preston

Sounds good, I'll see about improving this.

Yeah, I was thinking about fangs as well, or at least sharp teeth. Opening the mouth won't be a problem, but I don't want that to be static. I'll see about giving him a facial animation though.

Lol, you're good Preston. All it is, is a procedural texture.
I think if I add some beige to the green, it'll come out a nice combination though. I already added a version of the zombie with some rips in it, so that looks fairly good.

Interesting suggustion. I might see about thinning him in that area, but I like it how it is. Wanted to try to keep this zombie guy in good shape, but if he is decaying, it may make sense to thin him up a bit.

Heheh. If I add a belt-line over the bottom of his shirt, I think that'll fix him up proportionally, or at least help a bit.

Thanks for the critique Preston.
