Well, this is our first game. We were going to carry on with the game, but I don't think we will. So here it is. We just want to see how our program is working on other computers (especially lower end computers) because it has been tested on about 3 computers. It's a pretty simple game, just go through the checkpoints. We would appreciate some feedback. I would like to know the average frames per second you reach, computer specs (thats important!), and what you think needs to be done with the game (Compliments , hate mail , w.e works) Thanks a lot and enjoy

That kind of post is harsh, but nearly exactly what I was expecting/hoping for actually. I need to know what needs to be fixed. I do believe the controls are rediculous, because the car just turns like its got super steering or something. I need to find a way to code a more realistic, wider slower turn. Hmmm Well one good thing is you could tell it was a haystack but maybe i should put something else there instead, maybe a more dangerous obstacle. But this is beside the point. The whole purpose of this program (it being my first) is to learn how to make the program run fast. I want it to be running close to max frames (40). Btw, what were your frames per second and what are your computer specs? And thanks a lot for the post, I really do appreciate it. Just keep in mind that this is our first game.

Edit: Oh, No music because I didn't want a big download (geocities is such crap)

Same opinion here, the controls are very odd , and you should maybe just do a little damage to the car when it hits a wall or obstacle and then when it reaches a hirer damage it explodes. Also i saw a gap in between the fence and you can just drive through it off the track. Possibly add some AIs for it to be more interesting too.

btw, i got an average 39fps on a AMD Athlon 2100+ 1.72 ghz w/768 mb of ram.

39 Frames per second Basically all i was hoping out of this project was to make a game that runs fast but is still "decent" This project probably won't go anywhere. Its not that exciting driving a car through checkpoints without a computer player, but it did its purpose. Hopefully more people will test it out and give me there Fps. Thanks Cookyzue.

Ya, dont worry about the post, a little harsh but true. Ya i checked for that glitch after i heard about it. Kinda odd that the collision doesnt work there. I'll just make the object a little longer i guess. Thanks for the posts. (good frames )

I think you did pretty good. I like the checkpoint sound letting you know when you pass a checkpoint, and I was able to get around the course without hitting anything at least once. I got about 39 fps, so you're getting consistant frame rates on different machines. I have a 1.8Ghz with GeForce Fx 5200 video card.

Beat the game quite easily.
