Dark GDK / Query about the commented out functions

In the Basic3D header, there are a bunch of functions which are not exposed - prototypes are commented out. Although this is the case, does the .lib export the dbGetObject function? i.e. could I still call this function to get the object data structure if I re-introduced the function in the header?

I dont know - usually commented out headers means the function no longer exists or has been changed.

Ok, Mike has told me that some of them are available and some may cause linker errors, but the function I need is there.

It's not in beta.

Even my interface library had routines which were in development and not available for general use. I did generally try to remove all of the non-functional stuff from the headers when I put out a release, but that was just the way I did it and it was extra work

Ideally, they will become available when the next release is out. But with dbGetObject, alot can be done with this function alone.

All of the listings you see in the headers that are commented out will be coming along in due course plus all kinds of other extras . It's possible that most will work right now but maybe better to wait until we document everything before messing around with all of them.
