Greetings!

Well I've been working in the tank model, modifying it and making it more... 'dynamic', so isn't just a simple tank-like-box. Though, I edited it in 3DSMAX 6, and exported it to 3DS. DBPro crashes and doesn't loads anything, so I try to convert it to .X with Quick3D. Nothing. I open it with Milkshape, export it to another 3DS, two format of X, MD3, nothing!!, so I use DBC exporter command, it does it good, but then the lightning is ****ed up

Can someone please try this model and convert it into a 'correct' DBPro format?

Thanks in advance (click the download button )

Try using Pandasoft X Exporter
http://www.andytather.co.uk/Panda/directxmax.htm
Just experiment its options for a bit and it'll be a bug free exporter. (except for the built-in spheremap of dbpro)

In case of FXs, pick "Zone of the Enders: Second Runner..."
In case of Gothic designs, pick "Chaos Legion"...

Panda Xporter is crap.. Overly Complicated and Crap.
If you download the Microsoft DirectX9 October Extra's (120MB) in there are the source to compile the DirectX9 Exporter plug-in's..

Believe me, these are the XNA editions of these plug-ins and they're FINALLY out of beta. Previous versions were pretty good, but these are ROCK SOLID. With the exception of Matrix Animation that DBP doesn't support, they export PERFECTLY to DirectX that DBP can use without problem.

Well I could download that... just need to make some HD space, though, I don't have any VC o .NET or anything in the style... how can it be used then if I don't have any C++ thingies?

get someone with the same Max as you to compile it... it'd of suggested the 270mb SDK itself as it automatically installs a compiled plugin but you need some form of compatible language to install it. not sure why

I doubt I'll find someone in my location who can do that... I'm the only programmer between a thousand people x.x... but, hasn't someone used that exporter before? that person must have it... I think, no?

Hello,

It has certainly to do with lights. I was experimenting a bit, it's not perfect, but..
Look the files:

warior7 - new.x
warior7.x

Hope I help a bit, I'm not an expert on this.

Have a nice day,

Tomaz
