I'd suggest asking on the DeleD forum.

lol, and on the DeleD forum I would suggest to ask on the DarkBasic forum for the correct syntax of loading a textured X object. Seriously, maybe that would help?

Quote: "LOAD OBJECT fileName,objectNum "
wrong way round
Should be obj no.,filename

I know how to load an object! Just when I do none of the textures are on the model!

If the X file is save as text have you looked in the material section, to see if the filenames of the texture is correct. making sure the path is fine, or make sure the textures are in the same path as the object. Otherwise try loading the the object and then texture it with the texture to see if that works!

LOAD IMAGE TextureName,TextureID
TEXTURE OBJECT ObjectID,TextureID
SET OBJECT TEXTURE ObjectID,1,1

I was answering Jereon's question, and besides, I think you'll find my syntax is correct.

I tested a model I made in DBPro, the textures loaded, the same model in DBC, the textures didn't load. It seems there is either a problem with jpg loading, or just general compatability.

So the question still stands: does DB-Classic support JPG files?

A quick test by another DeleD user showed the same results: BMP pictures worked, JPG didn't.

Don't forget to alter the .X file materials then too (they still refer to .jpg files, just change that to .bmp).

I think its save to assume that DBC does not work with jpg.
