Robosapien?

My little brother is getting that from me, haven't tried it yet 'cos it's sealed in a big bubble type package, but it looks cool and it's big and chunky. I doubt it's very clever, but it looks fun, and it opens the door for a new crop of better robot pets next xmas .

Someone I know has one of those, and apparently it's much cooler than the commercials make it out to be. You can train it to be whatever you want, much like your pet in the game Black and White. You can train it to be evil and attack you/pets/people/whatever, and apparently it can even switch itself on and start wandering around the room.

lol of course, it turns itself on after christmas and steals al your toys then brings them to a secret lab on an offshore oil rig where the inventor collects all your presents and gives them to his own children so that they lov ehim, but they wont love him because of his black heart, only perpetuating more acts of evil.

Whoah Preston, that sword is stunning! - I'd love that!

Robosapien looks like a good laugh, I think the remote control makes people think it's totally remote controlled and can't do anything for itself. I'll remind him how kind I've been once he turns 18, then he can get the beers in .

Without doubt a Traxxas Revo. hehe. Best thing I have bought in bloody years! Hours of fun for 16 to 60 year olds.

And once again, here's a little vid I've made of me and my mate bashing.

Edit: Forgot to mention - 4 wheel drive, 40+mph, almost industructable, automatic 3 speed gear box, top of the range for its class. Definitely should be no.1 on your list!

Starting around July next year they will be, you'll have to either get rid of yours or obtain a license for them.

Because we need knives to cut our food, a knife isn't classified as a sword because it does not have a 'hilt'.

Being 15, a licence would be kinda hard..
Well then, I have till april to put them to good use ...
But seriously, can't I use them as decoration or something? If not, that really sucks.. One of them is a machete from bali which was kinda hard to get

You need a license, just claim your parents own them or something. But you may have a tough time trying to get a license if one of them's a machete, mainly because machetes are commonly used as weapons. You could just hide it, it's unlikely that they'll search your home unless you're suspected of something, however, as the article says, if you're caught then you'll be fined $6000 with up to 6 months of prison time.

That really sucks. Thanks for the info though. Lots of people know I have them, and many aren't friends. So they could easily report me or something...Or maybe I'm just being paranoid.
Btw, what happens to people that do stuff like fencing? (which I was ABOUT to take up)

Fencing swords don't usually have sharp edges and aren't really anymore dangerous then a pointy stick, however, I'd imagine you'd be able to easily obtain a license for them (if needed).

you'd havea license to own the fencing sword, I'm pretty sure you need a license to own them now, you have a collectors license etc, same as guns, you need a hunter's or sports shooter's license, anyway why would you collect real swords, you cant go hackign down monsters anymore so it's redundant (this coming from teh guy that has a huge foam greatsword in his room, but its for larp, so i get to hit people with it). im sure it is all summed up in this comic

Lol "Anymore"
Dunno, I'm just obsessed with them for some unknown reason (brainwashed by too many medieval style rpgs ). Many people collect things, my choice of thing, is a sword. Every once in a while, I take one out, swing it around a bit. Other times, they just hang off the wall...I find them nice as decoration for my room

Swords illegal! FFS!

I got my katana at a fair, for like £10 or something daft like that, swords are perfectly legal here unless your walking the streets carrying one. They can take my sword when they prise it from my cold dead hand .

Unfortunately, that's happened a few too many times in this country. Firearms have been banned here for a very long time now so gangs have resorted to using swords and other similar weapons, as a result, many people have been killed through 'gang slashings'. As a result, swords are now illegal, which seems quite fair to me, they're just trying to keep my country safe.

Couldn't you get a sword with a detacheable hilt. Then you can claim that you just have 2 seperate items, a knife (which is legal) and a hilt on its own (which isn't gonna hurt anyone).

Simple... yet fun!

I get the fascination. I mean, I'm 23, yet still have an interest in swords and guns etc. It's just what they represent. I'd like to have a sword collection mounted on my wall. Ornate swords with history behind them (preferably antiques). Not into ancient guns, but I do like BBGuns. I have a Glock9mm, Colt National Match, and a H&K MP5 electric. The only thing dangerous about these is they 'look' real, so you dont take them out in public. But I've stopped collecting them now though, as I never fire them, so they're a bit of a waste of cash.

I do understand the male fascination with weapons though. Weapons have a great meaning and a great presence, and mounted on a wall look tough. I was thinking if I'm ever properly loaded, I'll definitely have a room in my house lined with shields, armour and as many twisted medieval limb severing devices as is possible.

oh dont get me wrong i like to smash, slash, bash an dshoot things as much as the next heterosexual male, but I don't go buying some show off sword only to nver get to use it. Guns however are ok cause i shoot deer like bambi's mother. (not that bambi's mother shot any deer)

Can your plastic sword cleave a persons head off in one clean swipe? Is it hand crafted by blacksmiths? Does it make a nice wall decoration?

Me thinks not.

Once I was in Montreal and they had a HUGE store filled with medievil weapons and pendants and stuff. They even had a battle axe with a skull in the middle . I tried to steal it, but it was a little big for my pocet, and imagine taking that thru airpot security!

haha, I wouldn't mind owning a sword or two.. just in case

although that bladed skull sword is uber hoaky I'd rather have a sword with some style

I beleive you need a permit to own a sword here in the states..

As for gangs and swords..

Take away their swords and they'll just move onto bats and knives and other things of that nature... you're not gonna stop gangs by taking away their weapons, they'll just find other weapons

Provided that person is imaginary, a machine qualifies as a blacksmith, and you like sticking cheap crap on your walls. Then yes, yes it can do all those things.
