Anyone remember the speccy? Hmmm... Suppose it only really targets people born before the 80's, but you know who you are!

Anyhows, since I am back at my parent's for Xmas, and am really bored at the minute (can't be bothered with the games I brought with me, and I forgot Doom 3 - grumble) I have been partially writing Quizzes for the Quizardy website. They are Excel quizzes (although some are converted to web use) although you can get freeware Excel viewers apparently.

So one of them has gone through the QA process and is ready for download. Whoop whoop!!! Is the ZX Spectrum loading screens quiz. Should be on the first page of downloads. Or look in the Geek section. Typical... If you can get above 80% I will be amazed, but 50% will be impressive methinks.

So give it a go and help my download stats Oh, and vote nicely for me Second one has been submitted just now, and I have a Spectrum cassette inlay one submitted for a while now....

Think I'll do a C64 one next, unless someone has any better suggestions. Here is the website:-

http://quiz.iplac.co.uk/

Is a top site for quizzes BTW, check it out even if you don't care about Sinclair. Arf.

Cheers

You've really got me thinking now!

I'm up to 30 out of 100 so far, without using clues or cheating.

I know a lot more by your screens but I just can't think of the names. Gonna keep file open for next few hours and see if I can remember any more whilst working.

Grrr...I recognise so many, but just can't remember the names. 24 is annoying me, it was one of my favourites, and a damn good attempt at 3D in it's time.

Don't know which Horace you've used, it doesn't show the environment he's in (not Skiing or in the Park).

Number 56 was also a classic which I can't get the name of.

I'm up to 35 out of 100 now.

@BatVink - No.24 is so easy! Was also one of my fave game aswell. Took a couple of goes to get the horace one with. I tried skiing first but then tried the other couple and got it right. I got No.56 pretty quick.

The ones that are annoying me are 7, 9, 18, 77, 79 - I know the screens so well but just can't remember the name. Grrrrrrrr

24? C'mon now. Easy one there. It's an isometric game with a dog and a cat... c'mon....

56? Yep. One of my faves. You bounce around quite a lot in that one...

7? So easy. Then again, I did write the quiz Think arcade machines in the 80's, and a gun...

9? The answer is staring at you. Total giveaway if you look for it.

18? Massive game. Really slow though...

And I probably wouldn't have got the others myself. I mainly went for known games, or games I had myself. But some screens were lost in my memory.

Oh, and look on [href]www.worldofspectrum.org[/href] cos they have loads of screens. Is my main site for finding screens. Course if you haven't a clue then there is the task of trawling through thousands of games until you find the screen...

Cheers

Getting tough now. I'm up to 70 out of 100.

I know that number 26 is 'the sentinel' but it won't accept it. I think you've messed that one up.

You spelt "Heals" wrong......

56? Nah. Wrong tree for barking up on both counts. Looks like it's going to be impossible for you to answer this one... coff....

70/100? Bloody hell thats pretty good. Most impressed. You do have relatives to go to over Xmas right? You don't belong in an orphanage or anything right?

Rats. I typed it as sentinal. Doh. Not very good clues though, should have at least said "sent" would get a close. Nevermind, will inform the site to sort it out. Too much working on the quiz at 2am methinks.

Cheers
