ok i am new and i have all needs to make nice title but it will take alot of time so first i will start with simple things like space invaders and pacman, but..can you tell me-witch tool use for what i mean milkshap uses for 3d modele creation but what do i have to use to make the game enviroment and world for the 3d models that i have create with the milkshap what tool do that?
sorry for the childish questions but if i will not ask i will never know and sorry for my bad english too.

2)3dsmax | milk shape 3d | MS conv3ds.exe - for making, editing and converting 3d models.
3)Fruityloops (for beginners) | sound forge - for making, editing music
4)Some_evel_editor - i advice to make it self
5)ACDsee | 3d exploration - for viewing 2d and 3d works
6)Microangelo - for editing icons and cursors
7)Oh!! Photoshop and flash MX - for making, editing 2d
8)Notepad
9)hmm... thats all i think

for "Space Invaders" You don't need a level at all
for "Pac Man" You could make the level as a sprite and detect collisions with it, or draw it as a bitmap and detect color collision with the point command.

Either way for these you don't need a level editor. Personally for more complicated game levels, I would say make them yourself in DBP, or make them in Milkshape/Cartography Shop/Quark
