i made this model in milkshape today(trial so you can't use it comercially). it is my first atempt at replicating a gun and i changed the sight a little but if anywan wants it they are free to use it


for a comparison with my reference: (angle makes stock look wrong)

the trigger doesn't look right for the ak47 - too square

Used to be Phoenix_insane registered in september 2003 despite what the date says to the left <--

just an extra note, please check the comparison pic if you have broadband, it will remind you of what the real thing looks like and give you another angle.

Excellent model. As I own one of these, I can tell you that the barrel and gas piston housing could be a little thicker. You can tell because the gap between them is a a bit too wide. All in all though, one can easily tell what it is. Excellent!

pretty damn good man!
just one thing - a bit of advise - don't aim to replicate any model directly - it throws off your true art. comparison is good but appreciate your model anyways!

For when they said I couldn't, I did...

thanks for the positive feedback

@DeHonCha : i am not trying to replicate a model i am trying to replicate a real gun, i was aiming for realism, if i was trying to make a gun rather than a realistic copy i wouldn't have stuck so closely to it's original design. however, thanks for the tip and i will be more creative in future
