k thnx. would .cob be a problem? if you can, try to make the two arms seperate instead of both in one model. im planning on using the left arm for grenades, which i like to call "Orange 'Nades" after i found some black cats and an orange tree. dont worry about the nades, ill model and texture them.

just one think, is it suposed for me to handle you all the models separetly without any animation (except for the legs) ? for instance:

1- legs(animated)
2- left arm
3- right arm
4- Torso/head

all this in a different .cob file, is that right ?

Hi again

well I am getting maya personal edition today, I have bought a book on maya too. As well as registered at a college for some courses. I used to really be into art when I was younger. I really hope I can cut it though, as I have a secret passion for this sort of thing.

Do you have to be able to really draw well to be able to model properly ?

Maya.. Kinda not a good thing, as far as i know there isnt a .x exporter so you cant load up your models... I think there is one somewhere, someone mentioned having it before, but i havent found it.. Then again, i dont have maya either.

Sandra,

Drop me an e-mail (addy's in the profile) I'll tell you a little more about the ideas I have. I think you'll like them as they are simple and attainable, but I'd rather not post them here in the open where someone else could beat me to the punch so to speak...

Erick: nop, i draw mediocre, and i can model normally, yet to be an excelent modeler, you defenitly need to draw good, so you can expand your creativity, drawing my own concept art s my real objective for the future, plus, know how to draw can help a lot in texture making, but anyway, you can get along just fine without drawing, i dont really know maya has i work with 3dmax.

G Man: ok ill drop you an email as soons as i finishe this model, so we can talk.

That is soooo cool. I started on my 3d journey today. I will be posting soon I am sure

Does anybody else here use Maya ? I realise that the .x export is screwy in Maya, but it is he only tool I could study, I am studying it at the moment.
