Hey this is mainly at rich when he gets back.
I have been around alot of forum lately and
they have web mail on the forums so they
can send messages to each other. Now i dont
know about you but some times when you need
to ask a simple question and you dont want to
post it can be anoying. It would be so much easyer if
you could just send a simple message with you question
in and they can reply if they want.

Now if you think it would be a good idea post and
any other forum suggestions to go with it would be nice
and we can ask rich and the team when the get back from
there holiday.

Thanks
Eddie

It was coming ages ago - it was schelduled for the end of 2003 (I think). It was called DMail. There was a space for it on the profile screen, but now its disappeared.

Aye.. but will apollo3 ever grace our presence?

It was quite a few months ago that rich went public with a beta... haven't heard much of it recently.

I'm suprised the private messaging hasn't turned up yet - we used to have DMail on DBDN and I can't imagine it being too hard to transfer across (then again I don't know much about web developement )

Maybe it's more a matter of space - I'd imagine it could take up quite a bit of memory even if it only allowed a very small amount of data to be stored by each user.

It'd definitely be a useful thing to have though - it'd save us from having to have our e-mail addresses public and open to spam. We'll just have to wait and see what improvements are in the new Apollo I guess (presuming it's released any time soon)

we had it on a forum a while back. unfortunately not many people used it effectively.

If no-one gives your an answer to a question you have asked, consider:- Is your question clear.- Did you ask nicely.- Are you showing any effort to solve the problem yourself
