Yeah, it is kinda stupid that the mod didn't bother to leave a message like "I disagree" or something.

But hey, they own us.

I think they locked the first one because it had a nondescript weird caps lock title and it was a pretty pointless thread. They locked the second because it was disagreeing with them.

Yeah, we know that. But don't you think its a little "Wimpy" (i could use the word i used in IRC, but that'd be bad ) of the mod not even to leave a message saying "Hi, i locked your thread because X Y etc..".

Whilst I didn't lock the messages (and you would usually recognise mine by the sarcastic comments left), it was probably locked because there was no point to it. The second was locked because there is no point complaining about something being locked.

if the mod bothered to say "i disagree" then ermes there wouldn't feel like he was cheated, and he could've contacted the mod personally instead of "posting about a thread being locked".

Why was the mod afraid to post a message? It just doesn't make sense.

Quote: "No affence but you have been here since 2003 shouldnt you know better."

My, we have a right one here... Anyhoo, to break it up we get the following :

Quote: "No affence"

Does help if you spell correctly, you know.

Quote: "but you have been here since 2003 "

Shows that you can read - which certainly helps around here.

Quote: "you know better"

Better than what ? My last message ?

oh yes, it it also true this is general talk, the point of a little joke is to have fun, as topics like "what film do you like" "what song do you listen" etc etc etc.
Anyway no problem, but is strictly subjective wich topics have no point and wich topics have a point to.
So, dear mods, give us a table of what are topics with a point to and what are topics with no point, so we can follow it.
elsewere don't bother us with locking our topics.
Eddie B, times change a lot of things, like turning users in kapo'.
(no offence, obviously), and another thing, i wasn't good to follow rules in 2003, so in 2004, and "something that should be obvious" (sarcastic comments are not a your exclusive, TCA) i'll not follow rules in 2005, 2006 etc.
Hey, i'm the black sheep!!!

If you lack the common sense to tell what kind of threads are absolutely pointless and what aren't, and if there are already some 'meaingless' threads active or not, you shouldn't be using these forums or the internet at all .

I'm not here to read where i've to be or not to be and what i've to use or not use, so Mouse don't tell me things like "you shouldn't be using these forums or the internet at all " what a rude, stinky ass answer.
Internet an its forums are free and for all, i see you're a bit racialist.
Eddie B i've nothing with you.

For god's sake mate, if you create a topic questioning a decision it will be locked. Your first one was locked because it was just too pointless in the eyes of whoever it was who locked it.

oh wait i get it.

TCA, MOUSE please read and try to understand. I'll make a numbered list, maybe it explain better.

1) i was a little bred at work, i opened explorer and i click on TGC.

2) i click myself to the forum, and the general talk (note, not the dbpo section, not the "nuclear fission & fusion therory section" or whatever, but general talk, where pwople ask what kind of movie, actor, cat they like)

3) oh well, i see on a forum a nice old style text art with something like "name-rules" in ascii chars, old dos style, and my thought was "oh now i place it on this forum, where there are some my old friends i know at the time os SundayDrivers, and some new friends" and i typed it with a waste of time of 20 minutes.

4) i was smiling, and happy, i reclick the topics and it was locked!! without a minute some mods lock it!!! Why? I don't know, reply, not a single information.

5) i don't really care of my work, because the message can be viewed in the same way, but i asked why it was locked. Again, with a touch of kindness, no reply.

6) 3 minutes later the new topics is locked, without reply. Are you joking me? are you so busy you can reply me???

7) i made this topics.

You get something now??? You was rude and not gentle at all, i'm woiting your apologies.

aahhhh i'm leaving. you're too stinky.
it was funny.

First off we're not a hive mind so we don't apologize for each other. I don't know who locked it. I probably would have left a response but it's really not a big deal .

I'm sorry you were offended, but in the future if you have something completely off topic and pointless to post, try to do it in one of the existing completely off topic and pointless threads. There are important and interesting discussions here and they get completely drowned out if we allow too much wacky stuff to take up new threads.

Mouse there are several way to do the same thing. one of your friend mods can use his hand and write something like "sorry, locked is no point discussion".
What about important discussion, please i posted that joke here, and it will be of no damage for everyone.
Anyway, what's the time for you?? Here in Italy are the 21.00 and i'm tired to write in english. It was a good thing to improve a bit my english this time.

TCA, I love your new name... Anyways..
(Hey! I didn't make a new topic, I posted in a different, pointless topic instead)

Back on-topic, a mod can lock whatever he likes... They have the power on these forums.

-You may not question their decisions.
-You may not insult them.
-You may not love them.
-You may not shout at them.
-You may not kick them.
-You may not lick them.
-You may not flick them.
-You may not throw a brick at them.
-Etc.

Also, I'm sure you can figure out for yourself why the mod locked it.

Mods don't have any sence of humor.. Uh Oh....
*lightning strikes Newbie Brogo*
Ow...
EDIT: Oh snap, 4 new posts before I hit post message.....

If anyone isn't sure if they have an appropriete topic or not, you can do one of three things.

a.) Not post it.
b.) Look through the pages in general chat and see if there is a similar topic that made it through, and didn't turn into a flame war.
c.) Contact me: yellow1dbp at hotmail.com

I suppose I missed all the excitment as I wasn't to be found much on the forums during the holiday.

You can't post a bunch of pointless garbage, and expect it not to get locked. Hell if something should be questioned, it would be the lockage of my christmas under attack thread, which was a very interesting debate.

Can somebody unlock my christmas under attack thread?
