Hi. I've been thinking about making a 3d platformer for some time now, and I finally really started it. The fact that I've been wanting to do this for like a year has filled my head with ideas! These ideas will come later when I update this threat. The big question right now is, chasecam, or top view?? I'll post a pic of the chasecam and 1 with top view, and have you decide.. Here's 2 pics. The character is being redesigned right now.

Chase Cam:

Top View:

c&c and vote results and general ideas etc welcome

yeah, viewwise, but keep in mind, that 3d platformers suck when the movement sucks, and rule when movement rules. And coding a comfortable top-view movement is ALOT easier.

I think you should give us a demo that allows us to choose top or chase and then we can see which control scheme is working better.

I've thought of that 2 view thing, but it's not really a good idea. when I go for chasecam, it'll be a whole different game.

Make it optional in the gameplay. You can make a key in the keyboard to change the perspective.
