theres some sticky about that, but truspace and gamespace are good if you want a simple interface, and they import/export to many formats, blender is good and can handle a lot of formats, but its cryptic to use. anim8or is pretty simple to use and exports to a few formats, and deld3d or something i havent figured ou yet, but it has a plugin for .3ds and i think .x

I can't figure out deled either. When you export anything from blender it doesn't work. When I load it or look at it through the media browser it is just gone. so do you know any others?

I recommend gameSpace. I use it and am very happy with it. It will cost you a buck or two. If you paid for DB or DBPro then you should be able to get gameSpace too.

Just a suggestion

Deled is one of the easiest modellers around. Simply draw your cubes, cylinders, rectangles etc on the 2D views. Select them with ctrl+leftmouse and use various functions to manipulate the vertices, polygons etc. Exporting to X is done via the File menu - Export.

If you have questions, feel free to ask here or on the DeleD forums.

Use the free 3D modeller DeleD to get skilled in 3d editing! Visit http://www.delgine.com for more info.

Deled is mostly for making buildings like Cshop.
If you want a good, free modeling software, use trueSpace 3.2 or Gamespace Lite.
