Now that more people are starting to develop plug-ins, it might be a good idea if the commands from these were recorded, so that duplicated names can be avoided.

Good idea, why don't you send your suggestion to DBS? If they don't want to, how about a dedicated section on a 3rd party site, like http://www.db-pro.co.uk ?
