Anyone know of a utility to grab the password in an outlook .pst file?

From what it appears these utilities are numorous, but most are payfor programs.

I have a feeling the .pst file I'm trying to open is simply corrupted and after getting the password it still won't work

I downloaded one utility that showed the first four characters of the password, but it was random characters.

This is at work, one of my coworkers can't open they're default .pst file, thus all of her contacts and messages are unrecoverable..

Any ideas?

As you have found, all of them are limited on password length. You have to pay an extortionate amount to buy full version.

Office comes with a free utility called scanpst.exe that is pretty good at repairing corrupt pst files. Look in C:\Program Files\Common Files\System\Mapi\1033\NT
