You do not buy darkmatter to make models.. You buy it to use the models it comes with. To use them you will need darkbasic/darkbasic pro or any other game engine which will allow the import of .x or .3ds files.

In darkbasic pro, you would load one of the models by first saving the darkbasic project to a folder, then take the model and it's texture and place it into that same folder.. use
LOAD "something.x",1
wait key

This would load the 3d model and wait until the key is pressed before leaving the program.

Also.. Now that you have created this thread, if you have any other darkmatter questions, post them here.. do NOT create a new thread relating to darkmatter.

You bought Darkmatter 1, 2 and 3? Because the bundle pack for all 3 is 90$...

On the other hand, i should mention that you should never pay for something you dont know what it is. What made you think it was a modelling program?

The thing is, the darkmatter models are very decent models and allow programmers to create their games quicker.

I hope by saying your mad, you mean at yourself. Sorry.

For next time, let me help you out..

Darkbasic/Darkbasic Pro/DarkSDK are programming languages created by TGC.
Cshop is a world editor(mostly for buildings and such), but it is possible to make outdoor stuff.
Amaballis Canvas Shop is a 3d modeller program.
Texture Maker is exactly what it sounds like.
Darkmatter is just a pack of 3d models.

Were you drunk when you bought them?

Directly from the darkmatter page http://darkmatter.thegamecreators.com/

all that says to me is that the models come with the program and u can use them if u want! This is from one of my other forums and this made me further think it was a modeling program!
Quote: " I would then suggest getting Dark Basic and at least Dark Matter if you do not know how to 3D model or don't have a modeling program. Then later on, I would invest in Cartogrophy shop for creating indoor levels."

Yes, he said you should get darkmatter if you dont know how to 3d model because it is difficult.. so buying darkmatter will give you models that you could put into your game immediately.

Darkbasic uses the 3d models.

Nope, not to mention... dont always trust the people on the forums.. do some research yourself before hopping onto an investment like that without knowing what your getting.

Heh, yeah they are. I have darkmatter one, kinda sad i hadnt waited to have that money in a pool where i could've gotten 2 or 3(as it's easier to run the animations in a game).. In any case, remember that there is an edit button on your post, so you dont need to double post like that(people get angry for people double posting).

I dont have dark matter 2 or 3, so i couldnt tell you how to load the animation properly..

If you have darkbasic pro and you check the index for command help.. you will find a few helpful commands for this though..

PLAY OBJECT Object Number, Start Frame, End Frame
SET OBJECT SPEED Object Number, Speed

Might help.
