Ok, I keep trying this and it isn't working. Simply, I install the patches! It runs the associater and then I run the Update (cuz it NEVER turns on itself) and VWALA! Nope! At least I can't see it. The updater claims it installed and updated even by saying the whole 'was version 1 now updated' deal yet when I run the version check, It keeps saying that 95% of the files are 1.0 and the remaining 5% is like 1.0.0.2. Is this normal? I think it's really screwing things up if this is the problem as I have had to reinstall DBP and it's screwing up a matrix bitmap height mapper in a pre-game I'm making (by pre-game I mean it's not really a high priority in my life). Help from someone who knows what they are doing!!!!!!!!!!!

Check out some of the other posts. I think someone said they had the same problems but it is actually installing.

you should have updated to 1.0.3.1 by now, but erm ... i'm not sure really here.

I know the version checker lies about the actual versions all the time, i'm not sure why. Be sure you're running the latest update (including all IDE updates!!)
if you're still haveing problems, no one better qualified than the staff

Yes I have the same problem.. and I have installed patch 3.1 and the lates ide updates to..

They really should either a) change the installer (I always get an error message staying there are no files present; thus the update has to be run again), or b) properly read the version information (it cant be that hard, can it?!)

Thanks for the advice guys. Come to think of it, I forgot all about the new IDEs so I'll check those out now.
