I've recieved a rather, erm, interesting email.
Won't post it up until I've actually been able to talk to Rich about what has happened, but "someone" has used raven_is_stupid@darkbasic.com in order to tell me that my account is being suspended.

Well obviously it isn't else I couldn't post heh, but still if anyone else experiences emails that would 'appear' to be from TheGameCreators, then please be wary of them.

You can always send mail and make it so that it appears to come from a certain mail address. I could easily send a mail to someone and let it appear to come from raven@puffinteractive.com for example

Could be done with some EMail handling software. For instance, IIRC in FTGate you can hack your email before it goes, it saves it out as a text file on your server then sends all the emails together - it's easy enough to find your email and hack different details into it. I think the bracketted bit has been added manually, I don't see how it could show that as well if it was just a sub-nonomous (I know that's not a word but I have no idea what the real word should be, please excuse my English, and my coffee breath, and that thing growing on my neck) email.

Ahh I see... I can see who sent it now. Should've checked the code the first time.

There is a report address there, so probably might be an idea to drop them a line. Thanks

If no-one gives your an answer to a question you have asked, consider:- Is your question clear.- Did you ask nicely.- Are you showing any effort to solve the problem yourself
