would like to see what people think of this. the only reason i've stayed with the isp for so long is to check if the problem will be resolved and it hasnt, so im moving!

Tis the bad in the IRC. ADSL is great (unless you had a higher connection)! Hope you enjoy!

Get Nildram.
Had no problem with them - support is great when I've had to ring them (due to a problem caused by BT at the exchange).
Can get up to 2Mb with them, and bonded ADSL too.

No you don't...it costs a lot to get a static IP, theres no point...Your ISP might want you to have one though...

right update:

i've now got a bt line, cant order adsl till 5 days after the install.

ntl have phoned up 3 times this week, asking why we have left them, kept saying the same thing "you cant provide a service, so we're moving to someone who can"

today's phone call came with a 3 months free broadband offer, upon asking weither the problem will be fixed, they couldnt answer me.

i'm guessing they must have one heck of a serious problem in this area and it's not a quick fix. ntl's service status shows other areas probably have the same problem, with no eta.
