1 : Can i have 2d sprites in the engine as well as 3d models or can i only use 3d models?

2 : Can someone of the beta testers post a screenshot with the same item but with diffrent fx files applied..
(or have i missunderstod the use of fx-files)

1. can you have 2d models in DB? If you can, then you probably can in FPSC.

2.I think you've misunderstood it. But maybe not.

There are HUD commands in the scripting language.

My card doesn't support all of them fully. Not that noticeable here - maybe there are with others.

Get 15 new commands, all the date / time commands left out of DBPro for free!

The supplied effects are very subtle, you can only really see them when you are moving around.

The two basic types of effects are bump mapping and 'water' (which basically just moves the texture around a bit like Half-Life v1 'water', it isn't Half-Life 2 'WOW!' water).

I think the models use bump maps, but they don't have the 'Doom 3' effect because the source models from which the bumpmaps were generated were not high poly ones.
