Hi ! My name is Andeas...i am from Germany and i'm new to this forum. I just wondered if following hings will be implemened :

1. A Flashlight

2. can you make "round" rooms ? Because of the "cluster" system ?

3. Perhaps i want to implement a chainsaw as a weapon....possible ? *g*

4. Collision detection like in "Soldier of fortune" ?

5. Different types of light ? Pointlight , ... ?

I have seen rounded rooms yes. It just involves a few segments which have curved walls

There isn't one at the moment.

It has collision detection ( ) - do you mean does it have the gore of SoF? It does not

I think it's just normal at the moment. But I could be wrong.

hmmpf....a flashlight would have been sooooo cute ......
And yes...i mean collison detection ( if its what i expect ) ....we call it "trefferzone"...hurt zones ^^ ...When you shoot the enemy in the head , his head explodes. when you shoot at a leg , the leg....will be damaged , etc. would be cool , too.
And one more question :
i saw the video clip about fpsc ....where doors were placed in a sample level. will we be able to make our own door design ? and define how its going to open ? I think of a kind of door like in resident evil. which "swings" open. and will it be possible to set the doors height ? if we want to place stairs in front of it i.e.

and about gore... aren't we able to change the amount of gore the game will have ? can we control the litres blood which splatters to a wall and to the floor ?

There's no physics yet. All the gore that MIGHT fly out of people is animated. The stuff on the walls and floor, however, are decals.

Given the target audience I don't think so. It all depends on what feedback. Unless they want FPSC to get an 18 certificate...

Oh, and sorry, I messed up. The physics isn't "maybe in the full version" it's in a separate addon pack.

In the UK its a film classification.

They go like :

Uc - Suitable for all
U - Suitable for all, but may scare the feeble minded
PG - Parental Guidence
12A - See below (according to the BBFC, 12A and 12 are the same).
12 - No one under 12 may see it, unless accompanied by an adult
15 - No one under 15 may see it
18 - No one under 18 may see it
XXX - Replaced with R18 - only availiable in certain shops.
Exempt - Exempt from classification.

i think its impossible that fpsc gets a rating. Because its a program and not a game. You can decide how much gore there will be. if fpsc would get an 18 rating , then all other programs with which you can display "red pixels" have to be rated. photoshop i.e. BUT....your own finished game could get an 18 rating ! mine will ^^ for sure !!

That a bit of a primitive analogy. Of course photoshop isn't a rated product. That's like saying if stabbing somebody with a knife is bad, all butchers should be arrested.

I personally cannot imagine that FPSC would get an 18 rating, but they do have to keep in mind their target audience and so I think it's unlikely to have gore.
