Is DBPro going to take backseat to DarkGameSDK like DBC did when DBPro came out? Does anyone know? PLZ say it won't.

I've bein driving since the age of three; if you don't belive me ask my parents, you can find them at the county hospital for the mentally imbalanced.

I doubt it. I think the licensing is way too restrictive for many people to buy it as a replacement for DBP anyway. Maybe the commercial license (if it ever comes out) will give more freedom.

DBPro was the new version, and so was the one that was solely developed.

DarkSDK is a completely separate product.

All DarkSDK is is the DBPro library in a C++ callable library. It is the same thing. I would guess that any changes done to DBPro will immediately affect DarkSDK because they are the same thing. DarkSDK just let's you call the DBPro functions as a C library. They took all the DBPro internal functions and made them callable in a C library.

It does not let you get into the internals of the DBPro engine, which I thought it was going to do... I thought DarkSDK was actually the SDK to allow you to customize DBPro using C++ to create extension plugins That would be far more useful to me.

DOH! Not.

It's early days yet. You'll see that sort of thing in later releases.

I was expecting to see a proper plug-in SDK myself - part of the reason I withdrew mine. Hopefully we'll see this soon too.

anyone knows what version of DBP that DG SDK is based on? Upgrade 5.4? 5.5? 5.6? or 5.7?
