I want to make a laundry washer cos it seems like an easy thing to make. So I made a box, but now I want to get the circle IN the box so it get's depth but when I insert it in the box it's gone, how can I do it? (you know the cirle you open to put your laundry in, in the front). this really sounds like a nooby question so plz don't flame, yes I did some tutorials.

Ok I'll help you. I am an experianced Milkshape user. Below is the steps to your appliance:

1. Make a cylander and resize it to your needs.
2. Select the faces on one end.(not the ones that go around but on
the actual end)
3. Delect the selected faces. Then select the whole cylander and
press CTRL + SHIFT + F.
4. Now make four vertices that are square angled with each other.
5. Select all the vertices and move then to where they are flush
with the end of your open cylander.(flush with the open end)
6. Now make four more vertices just like the other four, but make
these flush with the other end of your cylander.
7. Now click on the face tool and connect the correct dots. (note:
Try to keep the geometry symetrical. EX. Make all triangles
point
towards the cylander)
8. After you do that you should have a decent cube/rectangle with a
open cylander in it that you can look in. Next Make another
cylander that you will cut both ends of instead of just one.
9. Resize the cylander so that it's just a bit bigger than the hole
in the cube/rectangle.
10. Now select the whole cylander that you just resized and press
CTRL + d. (this makes a copy of it that you can use)
11. Now resize it so that it's the same size as the whole in the
cube/rectangle. Then press CTRL + SHIRT + F (this turns it
inside out)
12. Now you should have a cube/rectangle with a hole in it and two
cylanders as a rim. Now use the face tool and connect the edges
of the two cylanders to make the full rim.
13. Next make a box that can be placed on top to make the control
panel.

Walla! Your done and if you understand my instructions then keep up the good work. Don't be afraid to ask questions about something.

Here's a pic of a washer I did in like 3 minutes:

Polygon Count: 552

ok... Here are the steps:

1. Finish your model or get it to presentation exceptions
2. Click File > Export > Viewpoint Expierence Technology
3. Type anything and save (this don't really save it)
4. Press Print Scrn button
5. Paste into a photo editor and save as JPEG

that's how you do it in a nut shell.

different problem - same program

not all my skins are showing up in DBPro.....

In the 3-d window in Milkshap all of the skins are showing....

Shouldn't they all also appear in DB Pro or is there a limit when converting to x format....

do you export them in .x? if so then you must put the texture files in the same folder as the .x file in your game....that way it can load them up and show them.
