Hi

I´ve just downloaded Wings 3D, because I thought it could be cool to create your own weapons

But I´ve found out that it´s quite difficult Of course it is...
But I thought that there may be someone who has a Weapon-Tutorial?
Well, if you have, I´d like check them out

Thanks

Don't know much about Wings3D but I know a heavy DeleD user has made a bunch of weapon-packs for DeleD. Quite easy to see how he build them too, because they're all made of prefabs. http://www.delgine.com for more info+downloads.

Use the free 3D modeller DeleD to get skilled in 3d editing! Visit http://www.delgine.com for more info.

thanks, but I've tried the Milkshape 3D demo, and I prefer that if I'm going to model.

But thanks anyways.

wings is great. its not harder at all. its just a different style of modeling. it renders better than milkshape after you install the yafray plugin. check out the official wings forums from the wings site.

I really don't get how to use wings, all i end up with is a bunch of cubes oor balls stacked on top of each other, I dunno how to extrude or any of that, I like milkshape cause you build every aspect of it.

Well, I'm trying aren't I.....

wings is mostly mouse based. there is hardly any gui to speak of which keeps the work fast once you are used 2 it. actions are accesed by selecting the part u wish to edit and then right clicking. its actually very simple and powerful. there are tons of tutorials on the site. check them out

extrude is click on any part of the object you want then right click and go to Extrude then chose X,Y or Z or etc... it's very simple give it one week to try it out and you can learn a lot. Just play with it and go to forums. To me I haven't tried milkshape, but it looks hard, but hay it's only what i see maybe I can try it one day.
