did you guys get decent frame rates?
mine runs at 12-18, and it's fairly smooth,
but my graphics card is crap.
my high score on that demo is 127,190
thanks,
bob

Just wondering where the rts element comes into it?
Its a really good game, especially for just primitives. I think it would be nice to have more control of the ship, as at the moment, if you get into a dog fight with an alien, you can't dodge their bullets or make it harder for them to hit you, you just have to keep pointing straight at them if you want your shots to stay on target.
Its that kind of thing that really draws me to games, when you feel like you've beaten the computer(like a flight sim, where you do a loop when your being tailed and end up behind the enemy and blast them to bits, or in an fps where you set a mine and then throw a stone to attract a guard to that area and they explode) Being able to do stuff like that really makes a game for me.

@ ReD_eYe :
the "RTS" element:
it's like the human is playing a fps space shooter,
and the AI is playing an RTS.

you just destroy their ships,
but they have to collect resources from around the board
and build their city with those resources.
(they actually can't send ships till they get enough
resources, and if you destroy lots of them, it
sets them back and makes them have to get even more.)

i will think about more ship control...
a lateral thrust with WASD would be possible,
i don't know about loops...

[EDIT]
i did put in lateral thrusters. it's the left and right arrow keys.
(i just don't like WASD...sorry...)

thanks guys...
