IPs don't match just because you use the same PC...

Okay mate, unless you 'two' have a closer relationship than I thought - you're the same person.

You're posting from the same machine and unless you're logging in and out just to get a conversation going, it seems you're the same person.

I mean come on, at least try to get a cover story that's plausible. We can see IPs you know.

Lol.. I could look up any ip address by randomizing numbers and be guaranteed to find someone's computer.. it just means that we know that that one is HIS for sure.

You can normally track down geographical location using ip address but unfortunately that ip address only tells you that user is dialled up using AOL and does not give away location.

You give your IP out every time you request a web site. It's probably the most given out bit of info online. If you really did want to crack people, there are other places you'd go to to find victims

Plus, it's changed every time you dial into the net. SO it's probably out of date already.

(I was expecting this )

In that case, you're probably computer literate enough to actually have a firewall

but to satistfy all of the worriers, I'll hide a couple of digits

At least it's useful for the mods and admins. And I feel much better that they know the IPs.

I got banned from another forum thanks to an idiot admin who, when some idiot created a fake account (a slight variation on the admin's account), failed to look at the creator's IP and instantly assumed it was me.

Sorry.
