Hi,

Does anyone use 3D Canvas Pro (www.amabilis.com) for DB modelling? I know it was quite popular a while back and development is still going very strong for it. I need a 3D package that does modelling, animation and photo realistic rendering and 3D Canvas Pro seems to have it all. Does anyone have experiences with it that they'd like to share?

Regards,

I have used it and it is a very powerful package, especial considering the price.

It just didnt work well with my way of thinking. I have to admit though that it has a very very impressive feature sets. I think it would be even better had there been a printed manual, instead of having to print it yourself.

I still used 3d canvis, it pretty good. The only problems I have with it is whenever I want to streatch a face of an object for an animation I get an ilegal operation message. Other that that I lke it (one time I modled this combat dummy in 3d canvis and I went to animate him and accedently pulled a face and it exited and I forgot to save )

Um try: http://www.theothersideworks.com
As I remember they had some good tutorials for 3D Canvas that were aimed at making game models.

The pro version, which doesnt cost all that much, comes with tutorials. I have now purchased Caligari truespace 6, you can buy my 3d canvas pro license at a discount if you want
