I just bought Age of Sail II because it looks really fun, now I try to play it and it minimizes and asks me to install MGI Videowave 4. I don't have this program or the disc. Nor do I want to spend money to get it when it is COMPLETELY unrelated to games! It is a video editor, not a "feature". What do I do!? Half of my games ask me for Videowave 4 and i had never heard of it until now.

Hmm, it's a decent video editing package (got it bundled with my digital camcorder), but it uses no unique codecs so why a game may be requiring it is beond me

The best Antivirus software you can get is Norton Systemworks. It has loads of utilities like speed disk(Like disk fragmenter but loads better)

Maybe so, but Norton is more likely to find it than spysweeper. And at the very least you can go to the Symantec website and do a search for a virus that asks for videowave 4. Symantec should have information on it regardless if their software can detect it or not.

that's the funniest thing I've heard all month.

I hate to break this to you, but if you want little protection and a computer slower than the hills, go for it

If you want the best av, get nod32

Norton Anything is crap. Period. End of story, no discussion.

and yes, you prolly have a virus

Nothing wrong with Norton - It cleaned up my PC well.

When was the last time you tried Norton? The new versions work loads better than the old ones..

Are you kidding me?

You can tell the speed difference once you remove it, when's the last time you ran your computer *without* norton

Here's the kicker

My aunt uses norton system works on her 500mhz 96mb RAM pc, slooooooowwwwwwww

nod32 on my 266, FASTER than my aunts.. a 266 with 64mb RAM, FASTER than her computer, same OS.

It could be other things. But I doubt it, in addition to that, there's always speed complaints about norton floating about, I've shut norton off on her computer, and it runs just fine, no waiting and waiting for windows to pop up or to wait for her computer to stop processing.

Norton is the devil, simple as that

A friend's old laptop, I put norton on her computer, she called my up not three or four days later saying her computer keeps locking up. I told her to get rid of norton, all her problems were solved.

That's when I decided, no more norton

How about Norton on a Pentium 4 3.2GHz (Hyperthread, etc.) with 1 GB RAM?

Sure, ya may not notice the lag, until you start transferring massive amounts of files, or data, or you have to restart your computer every few weeks because for some reason it keeps locking up

Just because your computer's faster doesn't mean you should buy and use software that's crappy when another piece of software just down the corner (and cheaper) is better and catches more viruses, and updates it's virus base more often
