Attached is a rendering of the tree in the advanced terrain demo. The tree model is completely textured, and I have included the UVMap in the .ZIP (which I'll attach to the next post following this one). Additionally, I've included a snippet of DBPro code to use as a template for employing this model in your projects. Feel free to use this model as you wish, just remember be kind and credit your source!

EDIT: Oh, I forgot, it's 168 Polys if you were wondering. This might go good with those guns I posted a while back for making an FPS or something...

Wow, looks really high quality I'm checking it out right now.

Edit:
Geeze, looks great and its really low poly. I think I will use this tree in a game of mine. Do I credit you as G Man or what. Good job, I like the matrix that you made the render with too.

G-Man's fine... I can't take credit for the matrix, that's the advanced terrain demo that came with the advanced terrain pack, I just plopped my model in the middle of it for a cool setting to render it in.

Hey G Man, nice tree you've got there.
Somehow I always kinda look at these trees in game, and they're mostly shaped like this

http://www.ingelaslekstuga.com/Spokbilder/gran.jpg <-- the kind of trees people make.

when the trees I see outside looks more like:.

http://www.grue.vgs.no/images/grantre.gif
with the branches pointing upwards on most of the tree

it doesnt really matter though, just a thought.
Keep up the good work though, and keep sharing it

I've seen them grow both ways... depends on the species. This however was modelled less for being realistic and more for practice... So I had no specific tree that I was modelling from and more just some things in mind that I wanted to try out.
