This is my first 3D model, a robot, and i was wondering what people thought of it. It still needs work and I haven't textured the spoiler, but tell me what you think.

I decided to ditch the wheels, I'm using treads because they have less polys. Is this less square enough? I practically redid the whole thing.

Not too bad, 'twould be cool to have a couple of turrets on those front parts of the treads, just too add to the robotic feel.

If I were you and you were me, then you'd be yourself 'cos you are me and I am you.

I don't get this whole bitmap=to-big-thing. doesn't everyone have a good modem by now? It took less than a second to load those images...

It looks Ok, (forgot your name), keep up the good work. Are you going to use it for a game?

I do agree with you there.

Those were JPEGs, about 10-30k, the bitmaps were about a meg.
Quote: "Are you going to use it for a game?"
Yes, I hope to.

Thanks.

I'll work on adding some stuff on it soon.

Webpage with all snapshots

[EDIT] By the way, how do the turrets/radar look? They could probably be better, but i don't know what they should look like.

Much improved Gamefreak,
Now start to add details to it. Make the turrets a tube and add a collar then they meet the tank. Change the radar support of a more realistic object and add whatever fasten it to the radar shell.
look around at real milatary vehicles and see what details they have. Once you are done I am sure you will be extremely pleased with your first model.

My personal preference is to use precise prgrams for modeling. I don't do or plan on doing people, so that doesn't matter. Besides, its easy after you get used to it.
