Yeah, there's actually a prison texture and wall set, like detention centre or something they call it - but having locked down doors that work with buttons, Dr.Lecter style glass windows, and trapped enemies (prisoners) is all very easy. You can set your enemies to have waypoints too, so you could have patrols just like a real prison, and there's platforms too, you could make a good prison level in FPSC really quickly.

One question I think should be asked is.... can you set the player in a prison cell, and have patrolling guards outside that don't shoot at the player untill he has exited the cell?

Guns arn't the problem, people are the problem, shoot all the people and guns arn't a problem anymore.

The example sci-fi level starts a bit like that, your unarmed and are standing in a little cell with a big round window and a guard patrolling back and forth outside.

IIRC you had to escape through the vents.

Mine is the cell is opened by the rebels trying to rescue you, you hardly hear it (in story) and hardly awake, 'cause the pain is hurst soo much you fall back, you walk out your cell door 'cause it's open and see a dead guard with a gun...Mind you, question - can you put guards dead on the floor and make them stay dead?

You could use a dead body entity, there's already one, but I think it's more like an autopsy thing than a guard, but as long as you can get hold of the objects you can add them to FPSC.

That would'nt stop him disapearing as if you'd shot him though, Like the enemies die properly, but then they fade away. Perhaps there's an option to leave the enemy when dead, but I haven't looked into much of the scripting and entity property stuff.

Could you please take a look and see if you could stop the fade for a single guard?

Thanks

Yike! Naturally that's almost exactly how I intended to start my game - player awakes in a cryotainment cell and has to break a vent and work through the ducts to get out... may need to rethink this becuase apparently it's a bit cliche'

You can leave corpses behind, but I haven't sussed out how to make a dead body to start with, I imagine it'll be easy enough once I get a good look at the corpse leaving script, like it could be an entities initiate script.

VanB,

Again thats some more greaat news about FPSC. Options like that for those who want them like me are most welcome news.

Great stuff

thanks
