For some of you who has looked in the Game Design section might know that I'm working on a 3D fighter.. its an old title I've been working on for quite some time.. but now its going 3D.

and well here is the first model:. (still in need of some tweaking, and hair.. but I'll do that before texturing.. as well as adding some more polies for animation here and there.. pretty much done though)

the image is a bit large so I'll just link to it instead.
concept: http://www.wyrdlife.com/artwork/litherell.jpg
3D mesh and wireframe: http://www.wyrdlife.com/game/litherell.jpg

This is my first model in XSI (loving it) and my third model in total.. so I wanna thank 3Dbuzz for free tutorials

Please comment and critique at will.. the character count in this game will be about 3000 - 3500 triangles. There will only be two characters on the screen at once..

(textured version will come in a few days)

wow... That's a nice model.

Since I'm not really a modeler, I can't give you any critique. All I can tell you is that it looks superb.

Damn Jonny Ree, you are a fairly accomplished artist

Might want to bring her stomach in a bit to give her a more muscley look. Also the smoothing groups around the groinal area look a bit funny. Face looks great. Hands possibly a little flat.

Very impressive in any case. Keep it up

I'm makin' a cake...

Ditto! What modeler do you use? I like how smooth it is! Many charaters are cube-like.

Mak'a ma day!!!

Thanks for all the support people

I've done quite a lot of fixing on the model, I'm not gonna post a new version till I've got it all textured though.

Thanks for all the comments on it as well.. all of them helped me in some way.. some for morale support and others has helped me to go back to areas on the model to improve.

I'll keep you guys updated

oh yeah PS: I use Softimage|XSI

Why too many polys? With fighting games there's usually only two chracters on screen at a time...

And then there's the enviorment but it's still not too many polys.

RisTar_sn:.
yeah, i'm having some problems fixing the hands.. they ended up looking kinda flat.. I hope to fix it before textureing..
I've fixed up the breast part a bit as well.. but I hope the main problem is just the angle of the screen taken.
Thanks for the comments and I dont really think there is too many polys really.. on the other hand if it seems that polys where wasted.. that would be a problem.

Aslo thanks to Anime Blood for agreeing with me

De nada. I hope you like my character when I post him. He's a bit different. He'll be up tomorrow night or on Sunday.

And if he makes it to the game I can't wait to see how awesome his model turns out.

Awesome, post it up on my boards too, cuz LiquidX is interested in your game and doesn't come to these boards often anymore, I bet you he'd love to see it.
