Anyone out there had debugger probs?

I keep getting the Win XP "the debugger has encountered and error and must close down" message when using it. Is it really that flaky? (Or does it only work with code that doesn't have any bugs in it?(!!))

Also, is there any way to get at local variables within functions using the variable watcher? Not much use if u can't!!
