Hello:

I wasn't quite sure where this post will go, so this was the best I could come up with.

As you may have read in the new newsletter, they mention a game called "Time Ship". I tried this game and it seems pretty cool. I do have a graphics issue thou and I was wondering if it is just my machine or what.

Any thoughts? I tried all the resolutions (320 x 200 and 640 x 480) and got the same results.

Thanks!

THAT is the max size it can be displayed in game, and my monitor cannot go below 1600 x 1200 (well, it can, I just choose to have that as my lowest resolution)

That is a Z-ordering problem. The "jaggies" are an inherit problem in DBC programs on a lot of computers, I don't know of a way to get around them...
DBPRO stuff doesn't do it, but that doesn't make it any less ugly!

Sorry about that - hope you enjoy the game

You can fix those jagged edges by fidling with the set camera range command. I think the further away the start value is the less jagged it appears. But then this gives you the obvious problem of things really close to the camera not being drawn.

Actually, I found a lot of these "jaggies" can be fixed by using *smaller* size values for your objects.

Example, instead of making your ground matrix at 1000x1000, make it 10x10..

It works (But no good if you have to work with really accurate numbers, for example, a race car sim -not arcade physics-)
