I'll listen to most sorts of music, but I don't enjoy Pop, Hip hop, or Dance music.

I've recently enjoyed both rap/hip hop and techno, so I guess I like pretty much everything except classical, jazz and blues now

Radiohead- KidA is my all time fave.
A lot of film orchestral stuff; forrest gump score right now
Jazz, big band
System of a Down and stuff like that
Feel good 60's, 70's & 80's
Snow patrol
Funky stuff, Jeff Wayne WOTW for instance...

A lot of stuff - depends on the time of day etc...
I would like to say that I hate all the new stuff that everyone seems to love like the Killers, the Zutons etc... Don't see the attraction at all.

Cradle of Filth - most successful gothic metal band in the world (and they're british), been going nearly 10 years!
Nightwish - symphonic metal at it's best!

I don't suffer from insanity:

I enjoy every minute of it!

I'm into most things except recycled swamp donkey music such as pop music, new metal and all this punk stuff for skater kids so they can learn about girls. Good soul and jazz is great, dance music particularly drum'n'bass and breakbeat (not really into 4 to the floor), old skool metal (which we now call hard rock thanks to modern metal crap) like Maiden, Metallica etc. Also classical greats like Holst and Prokofiev.

Most music is rubbish.
Most people listen to recycled crap because they're happy to be entertained by the same old thing.
It's a myth that it's just as easy to be innovative today as it was 40 years a go. We're running out of melodies. Maybe that's why all this new metal/punk is just chords and no melody? Or is it cos these kids can't play their instruments these days?

Edit: Ahh, forgot to mention I hate music that has a rebelious, self loathing or pointlessly depressive undertone to it. Like "I hate america" or "I lead a lonely life". Kids need to get through their self pitying rebelious stage of their adolesense ASAP and get jobs!

The Alternative scene that I've been watching for past 5 years or so (yeah im 13 and yeah ive been watching the alternative scene for about 5 years now) is becoming more and more mainstream now, which is good. Bands I love like Snow Patrol, Modest Mouse, and Interpol are getting popular finally.

Something to doing?
