This is propably a sensitive subject for some game programmers here but I have been crusing the boards for about 2 months now trying to learn DarkBasic as I have time. One thing I have observed is while some of the coders on this site have absolutly fantastic games the web site it sits on is very substandard.

I dont want to sound like a spammer but I do web sites and I love games if anybody is needing a site done or upgraded or anything I would be happy to work out a trade for cool games or even help with my game(s) as I develop them.

Thanks

I don't need any websites done, but i'm gonna ask the question that everyone would be thinking:

Any sample work?

I do agree with you on that point, but for most their situation will fit into these catagories:
1. Too lazy
2. Not enough time/programming games, not websites
3. Don't want to
4. Can't design for s***

I think Neofish has it to a tee. Designing a half decent website is very time consuming and a fair amount of skill is required. I create and maintain loads of websites for my job but I still can't be bothered upkeeping my own site. I also can't design for s*** and the thought of designing loads of pretty graphics is pretty daunting.

One day maybe...

I have noticed quite a few web sites are dodgy - but I think that's all part of the effect

I think mine's quite good. Problem is, no full game yet

@Durdge39

I'll make up a list of tips for your site and email them to you as well...

If anyone else wants tips based on facts, and my personal design preferences, post somewhere here or email me.

EDIT:
Sent, I was listening to Tom Jones while I wrote it... so watch out.

Oh my..... Don't you dare have users on your website. That will make most people click the close button instantly, because a lot of us are lazy, and have no other way to waste our time.

Sorry, but I can't check out your website and give it the full run around right this second, maybe later.

It'd be nice if you mentioned my name instead of last person.

My post was right above yours.

Don't worry, you still have a place in my heart.

To let me know if you got it, you're supposed to click the update button, visible only for admin, and update something on the main page.

Then I can go see it, and I'll know if you did it.
