I made this apple using Lightwave.
I think lightwave is easy but if you
want a GOOD easy to use cheap modeling
tool i havent found nothing that beats
milkshape.
We have some links to its homepage and some
great video tutorials for it in this thread

That apple is good enough for a pie. Though the leaf needs to be higher on the stem. (Just personal taste) Just curious, how much is lightwave? (I'm lazy and don't want to look it up on the internet.)

Thank for the GREAT comment all.
makes me happy and inspires me to not
give up modeling.
And sorry "bigH" for kind of
stealing your thread.

@"Ominous"
I use the Standar Electronic full version. (v8)
That costs about 1600$
Altouh all i learned about 3d modeling i learned
using Milkshape and that only cost 25$.
(you download the trial version and then buy the key)
Sometimes i actually prefere Milkshape when making
gamemodels. I also use it to animate my models. (skeletel animation)
And sometimes i use it for skinning the models to.

I already have milkshape as well as DeleD. I knew professional software wasn't cheap, but I was curious to see how much it was.
Thanks

Lightwave 8 runs for about US$1500 or about US$500 for the upgrade.

Basically dark.

Try 3D Max. I use 4D Studio though. They aren't that bad except that 4D studio takes soem time to learn.

I found "3D Studio Max" to be a lot harder to learn
and Lightwave produce the same results.
(My opinion)

I wanted to post this both to show you one of my future
enemy models for FPSC. And i also wanted to show people
that are afraid of low polycount how much a skin can do
for a realy low poly model.
It was modeled in Lightwave and skinned in Milkshape.

BTW : I am making a Zombie game.

EDIT : The model is not done yet. That explains his white top.
I have only textured the face.

I know he looks a bit like a vampire but he is not done.
(supposed to be a zombie.)

@"Madda ChieF"
Thanks, just wait till hes done and animated.

@"Mr Flowerkohl"
The model was made with Lightwave v8,
the texture was then drawn in Photoshop v6
and applied in milkshape.
