Here is the finished product of my entry to the
New Year Competition 2005,

Hero Of Garaven

it can be approached like a simple first person space shooter,
but has elements of Real Time Strategy games and the classic
arcade game defender. The Zip file is 4.77MB.

This Game Uses 100% DBP Primitive Objects.
Sphere, Cone, Cube, Triangle, Matrix.
no textured transparent planes, no .x models.

the game's official web site is here:

controls:

Please download and play if you can.
the game is complete, playable and free.

Wow, thats a really fun game. Though the enemy fire seems a bit too acurate for my liking.

Now just add co-op multiplayer using my DLL and your all set

Well, I was just now playing it for a while and I quit after I got 100,000 points. I'm just sorta posting here to bump this thread up a bit so maybe others will give it a try. Its really addictive you know.

Nice one man, v.good fun. I do have a couple of suggestions though
* the upgades need more oomph !...they dont feel like they make that much difference to your ship and you have to play for quite a while to get good stats
* A pause button, i had to go for lunch and it stopped my game !
* Maybe increase the max height a bit, i do like to fly high, have a look around and then swoop down

But other than that very good, now to add more enemy variety and prehaps some updated graphics and youll have a cracker of a game here
Good Luck
