say a brown box is a work of art. when the guy gets it and gets mad at you, say he doesnt understand art. I've done that with a friend once.

The only rare thing about that purchase is it is under-retail price.

I wonder if that guy has actually ever visited the TGC site and/or the forums.

It's not rare, it just takes forever to ship.
I find it irritating on ebay where people label something as rare and they can make an extra ten bucks off it. Just bought an old SNES off a friend for $25 that was going for 50-something on ebay, then when looking for FF3 for it on ebay the first result was: $51.94 FF3 Snes Super Rare!
I ended up bidding on somebody else's copy and getting it for $25.

I wouldn't exactly call the bidder a 'dumbass' for buying a product for almost 1/4 of the RRP. In fact, I'd go as far as to call that smart.

Yeah. The seller obviously doesn't think it's rare, just to try and get a bit more interest .

Hehe, he also labels grandia 2 as rare.

I'm not sure any ps2 game is rare yet.

Isn't it? Wasn't it? Marvellous!

well, maybe he's born in the netherlands and thinks it's the same like the dutch word "raar".

Lucky bugger.

@ Hamish McHaggis:

I don't know, but it did take me forever to find Fantavision, albeit in one of the worst-kept boxes ever.

The way he's describing them he sounds like an idiot. Does anyone actually call a DVD a CD? (pointing to the Grandia 2 page)

Nah, if that was true, then he would have been born in Belgium

I live in the USA and I only heard of Dark Basic once, and that was in a boy scout magazine (which they apparently stopped avertising in). But I am glad that I looked looked at that advertisement.

Rare my arse. If it looked like this (see attached pic) then you could say it was rare.

It's not even the first edition Fast Trak version (the first edition was the one where you got a CD and spiral bound manual inside a massive box.. before they went to the DVD package version).

Good price though

Cheers,

Rich

There was something nicely "home made" about it

(Probably because it was.. home printed CD inlays, CD-R disc, etc)

You've the first Fast Trak release.

The one I posted a picture of was before we had a deal with Fast Trak, when Lee and Rick copied the CDs at home, etc.
