put 'randomize timer()' at the beginning of your code.

you don't need arrays unless you want to save program data. high_score and players_name would be the only data worth saving. the other variables should be regular variables.

the ball moves to fast in default dbpro mode on my pc and setting ball_speed to 1 doesn't help. in full screen exclusive mode it is to slow and if you increase the ball speed the paddle speed is to slow so use the same variable for both and add 1 or what ever to the paddle speed.

move this line 'dim high_score(1)' to the beginning of the code with the other variables.

it starts out lives equals 3 but there is four lives.

that is all I can remember. should be a good game when you get it finished.

Here's some feedback...

1) it doesn't work.

2) it doesn't highlight the menu options properly.

3) the only menu option that works is hi scores.

4) the ball moves a million zillion miles an hour making it unplayable.

On the bright side...It could serve as a screensaver.

My hi score was 110 and the game lasted less than 3 seconds. In that time, the ball travelled to the top and bottom of the screen probably a hundred times or so...So, this is too fast and unplayable.

load array() and save array() opens and closes the file so you don't have to "open file or close file".

at the right side of the editor, click on settings then full screen exclusive mode. this is supposed to cap the speed at 60 I think. on my pc it is 75. I made some changes to ball_speed in the load: routine, you may have to adjust the values. these are suggestions only.
