Ugh... final exams finally over... I'm gonna graduate to college!!! ahem...

I still haven't think of the setting cuz i'm still confuse of whether to make it light, dark, or others. So i tried to experiment GIs of mentalray renderer and came out to make something like this.

I'll be back with my modelling anyway... continuing to make the girl look facinating enough cuz i think the remodelled one is worse than the earlier one. heheh... plz help me think of the setting.

So far, this is what i have done, i had some serious problems on re-pasting the metallic arm to her shoulder. The materials used aren't still finished and the hair is not yet done. I will do the details of her boots and gloves next.

Please comment more...

haaaa, face is a tun better !!! know i like it, but plz make the lips more defined, u know what i mean ? they look to much faded on to the skin, she needs lips like angelina jolie

very good, just work a bit more on lips hand and boot, im being picky off course, the model is already very good

Lips? ok, will try to make the color of the lips more reddish (i guess, as long as it's not over-exagerated) and will add details on the boots and gloves.

Will it be ok if i add a metal shield (not circular, if that's what most will think) on her human arm? Cuz i think her gloves are somewhat lame.

Anymore comments? please?!?!?!

Maybe the word "comment" is wrong... Then I should use the word "criticize", yes? .......... PLEASE CRITICIZE MY WORK!!!!! But that's not rather good to hear though...

The hair? Plains that are curved (maybe 4x6) then textured with a hair look for the alpha mapping. Try looking at 3dtotal.com, there's a tutorial section there, and are very essential.

First,The fingers look like they have no joints in from that pic, second that arm looks mighty heavy and would drag her down to her left. Lastly the mech hand looks very square and how do the fingers work? might want some mechanical tendons or something.

Just some thoughts

Yeah, I guess the fingers look rubberish, I was trying to fix it but had hard times. But i'm still fixing some details til now anyway. The arm? I guess it looks too big, but i can't change it, or the whole design will be changed. Maybe making it smaller... will that be ok? The hand? they're just simple joints... I kinda don't get your point actually... sorry... And i think it really does look too squarish... heheh... Will try to change it...

I can't concentrate to my model that much again because i'm having some troubles in uploading our whole web to the ftp. I'll be delaying the modelling again, sorry...

The arm was justr a secondary thought really, thinking bout the human versus mechanical aspects. On the human hand you could make the fingers look a bit squarer, to give it a more rigid look (just a thought). As for the mech hand I was really just getting at that i cant see how it works, from that angle at any rate, like with the rest of the arm you have pressure cables or whatever that kinda explain the movement function, where you dont with the hand.

Hope I explained myself well

The face...

Everything aren't still the final. I just add teeth, gums, and tongue for the head but i have no screenshot for that (i forgot, heheh) For the hair, I'm still looking for some tutorials and free plugins for hairs and stuffs. I'm continuing the modelling, just have patience.

I was thinking of maybe this would be semi-finalized cuz I can't finish anything if I kept on thinking "I'm not satisfied". I am now doing the background, the setting will be a street in a city (tokyo based) in the morning. Any comments?

I'm doing the street now!!! Here's a pic, the simple plan with the wip model. Those which are outlined are parts which are totally temporary. Comments? (please...)

Oh yeah, if you're going to look closely, some of the pics are my works (like the one on the left, the santa girl, the mech on the right, and at the top which I colored for the job)

the models are amazing, the thing is u have to look at the traits of a human. if someone has black hair and a light skin tone, they wouldn't have bright blue eyes. try a light brown, or a green. other than that its a perfect human. nice robot too!

I'm a Red Sox fan, don't hate me for it. If you say anything bad, trust me you dont want to know what will happen.

Latest update:

I'm trying to make it more complex, but maybe I lack time and experience. Maybe will update soon. About the color of the eyes, i was planning to make it very dark, why? Personal interests of course (heheh)

this is looking really good, the girl model, men that arm is know 5 stars !! really !, it only needs 2 fixings, the feet joint area (dont know this word in english), i think her boot end (the boot feet) doesnt looks to "bootish", look at the boots from that girl in redisent evil or do a quick google search, you could tweak the boots a bit, and change it material maybe, add some glossiness to the boot ? make it look more like velvet or dark leather, about the human hand, just one thing, scale down the figer tips, theyre to fat, other then that if it was mine i would call it finished, nice work m8

for the city, to make it more complex its easy, your just forgettign the skyline, make a heavy building skyline and it will look ton more complex

Mustrix is right about the skyline.. making a higly detailed skyline often make things seem more complex then it really is..

another way to solve this problem is to focus on other things.. take people away from thinking.. this city is simple.. or not complex. and its lighting.. if you can make it look dreamy with lighting.. people will more or less forget about how complex it is.. how you do this however I do not know.. sinse I havent been doing any 3D rendering at all.. but I made some changes in Paiter for you to perhaps pick out some light colors and positions.

to make it dreamy , glow is the way to go, make the edges glow and blur the blackground, here is a skyline thingy and simulated global ilumination, looks more complex.

Final Model for the setting:

Also I've made the gun of both the girl and the mech, but I only have the screenshot of the girl's. (Which in this pic, the other eye is mechanical, but can't see the details)

Comments please.....

I meshsmooth the body of the girl with iteration=2 (I'm not sure of the spelling, but you got the point). I had 3 lights surrounded, one has the shadow map, others are simply for diffuse (multiplier=0.3). Then I create a skylight (multiplier=.6) and have mental ray to render it (with final gathering GI) to make it more smooth in case of diffuse, shades and stuffs. I hope this will help you...
I'm animating them right now, and experimenting Adobe After Effects 6.5 for video compositing. Unfortunately, I'm having a 2 hrs rendering time for just a 30 frames video, AW, MAN!!!!! I'll have to buy first a digicam when our salary came so that I can base their movements to real life actions. (Finally, after 4 months of modelling and texturing... FINALLY!!!!! I'M ON ANIMATING AND EFFECTS!!!!! WAHOOOOO!!!!!)

Whore? Dude... I'm not making a whore, man... She's just my fantasy (heheh... what's the difference...)
Polycount? I'm not sure, cuz i'm using meshsmooth so the polycount increases.
I'm having some delays because our salary would still be on monday and i can't buy the digicam now. So while i'm waiting, me and my partner are making a fan game called "The mask of Zorah" featuring Sora (Kingdom Hearts), Cloud (FFVII), Rinoa (FFVIII), Zidane (FFIX), Yuna (FFX/FFX-2), and a twerp from FFXI Online (Dunno it's name).
Oh yeah, check out our website [href]www.altiz-studio.com[/href] I'm Mach there, but many peeps are having probs visiting that web.

Nice.

Any chance of you using characters from SMRPG? I have a somewhat-decent Mallow model I could give you, if you need it.
