I have a question regarding the fees for the Paypal premium account.
Is it a monthyl fee, or is it something where they take a percentage of the money you get? Please answer, if it's neither of these can someone explain how the fees work? It's really important.

Thank you in advancded.

With a premium account, you can accept credit card payments. The fee is automatically taken out of each payment you receive. So if someone pays $20, you'll see about $17 come to your PayPal account. I don't remember the fees, but it seems like it's about $.35 + 3%. With a normal account, no fees are taken out, but you can't receive credit card payments.

I have a business account so on a $15.00 credit card transaction they take about 80 cents - dont know how it differs for premium account though.

I thought business and premium were the same. It's been a couple years since I used PayPal for receiving payments though.

I have a paypal account that I use on eBay to sell off all my old junk.

Assuming you are in the UK:

Paypal charge a flat rate of 3.4% + 20p

PS. It's amazing what you can find by actually going to paypal website ( https://www.paypal.com/uk ) and clicking on 'fees' link along bottom of page!

Boo!

I'm in the US and just wanted to know how it worked thank you very much, because I would rather not pay a monthly fee.
