I use the starship Enterprise's holodeck and replicators, not only to model, but to make my models real objects. Then I scan the object and my computer renders the scanned object in 3D. From there I simply place the object in the game.

And, if you believe that, I have beachfront property in Hawaii I want to sell you .

I use Milkshape and DeleD. I just started modelling.

Sure, you could use the holodeck/replicator process, but why when there is Gould and Ancient technology available (powered of course by a naquada generator) that will produce much better results.

I prefer the Zero-Point Modules, instead of the Naquadah generators, when working with Ancient and Goa'uld technology.

It really won't matter what software you use to make your model's as long as it export's in .x format, what is important is how good you can use your software.
