Are normal maps working in the EA version or will we have to wait for the V1 release.

What, like normal mapping in the sence
of lightmapping then no. And it will probably
never suport that.

noldor- i think he was actually referring to normal mapping in the sense of using a image file that contains the normal data from a high resolution 3d mesh on a low resolution 3d mesh to make it look like the low res version has the same normals as the high res ala. DOOM3.
this is a good question and I hope that we get an answer. actually i'm hoping that it is supported and i don't see any reason that it would be impossible since directX 9 supports real time normal mapping and fpsc uses directX 9.

Here's to hoping FPSC rises above and beyond everyones expectations!!!

Normal mapping is what i ment to say, it was in one of the newsletters about 6 -7 months ago but have not heard anything of it since.

I think they are in the EA release, but they are not "wow! Doom 3!" quality.
