Hmmm, Odd. The normals seem fine and you don't have the transparency tweaked on the material. Are you loading this into DB as a .3DS? If so, try saving it out of LithUnwrap as a .X and loading that. As I recall there being some issues with using .3DS models in DB...

ive tried it in .x form from lithunwrap but its no different could it be somthing in db.

oh and ime triyng to to model a hand around the handle but it looks crap can u help.

Ok, I've looked at this a little closer in my modeller. It appears that you have some faces that are actually inside the model. That can really screw some stuff up. So what you need to do is go in and delete any faces that are inside of the model out.

okay i will probably end up deleting somthing inportant but i will try thanks.

oh yea i have found another way to do it instead of using lock object on u put position object camera position x(),y,x and somthing else to do with the angle and then it doesent happen so i might use that if its good

I probably could hack out something, but you will be responsilbe for any animation that has to be done...

btw for reference pics that model 45 is the M1911a1...and good luck on your modelling...al i can say is that it needs more definition on the handle while looking at it from the back. but over all great!!

Here's a crappy hand... Sorry that's about the best I could do. Hands are still tough for me. You might want to play with the texture a little as I'm sure it could be done better.
