When I'm not programming, I like to skate and make films. At my film "company" website you can check out my latest film, and watch it online in WMV format (broadband connection recommended).

WATCH THE FILM: http://www.ddrw.com or http://www.experteva.co.uk/AWThigh.wmv for downloads.

The film is basically a skateboarding video, ala Flip Sorry; it's 30 minutes long and in it you can see my inline skating section, featuring me as promised in the thread title, along with sections for my friends. Observant folks will also note that the film features all the locations and cast members from my first DB game, "The Old Remedy 3D Skateboarding", including Martin.

The film was made over 2 years by me and my brother and was made purely for the experience; I've been making films as a job and a hobby for 3 years, and this is my third skateboarding film. I've been inline skating for 5 years. I haven't asked copyright permission for the music, but I figured that since I'm not making money or anything from the film, I'd risk it

Anyways, just felt like sharing on another lonely Friday night.

Enjoy the film
Be sure to watch it all,
there's a few suprises and a really painful ending

Is this what is called gratuitous movie violence?

Great film!

Thanks guys - the file is now on a new host.
Be sure to allow about 15 seconds before pressing play to allow some buffer to build up. Failing that, refresh and repeat.

I clicked high quality, but it kept pausing after a few seconds of play. It only downloads at 16.5kb/s

Interesting website the file is hosted on.

While I wait for it to download, I'll share some pics of me skating. The park is called "The Flow", and it was built in an old warehouse building here in Ohio. The Aftermath 2002 tour came through there, too. (sorry Drew, not trying to hijack your thread)

That's the strange thing - upon testing so too did I. The videos play fine, provided you have a connection up to the job.

Anyways, two locations can't hurt. Enjoy it whilst you can everyone, these videos will be offline by 8:00pm tonight, or sooner...

My pics were from last summer. But I went to the Flow last night, and failed about 95% of the mistyflips I tried. And a flip is one of those things that you either make, or you get hurt real bad. There's no middle ground. So even though I'm very sore right now, I really wanna go skate again after watching that video. I liked the little part you showed when they built the park. The tetris thing was funny. The flip off the swing was nice. Tommy has some nice tricks.
Maybe you should've picked a different song that didn't require so much editing.(metallica's cover of so what) Who's the little guy trying to rollerblade at the end?

Yeah; I'd imagine.

And the Metallica song? It's a long story, but that song had to go in it. The guy "trying" to rollerblade is my friend Mark, who incidentally also did the annoying voice samples for Time Ship.
His bail put an end to his skating days...

Thanks for the feedback.

Was quite good--- aside from the fart humour :p

EDIT: Which video editing software do you use? I'm currently using Nero's...

Awesome vid Drew, well done to you and all your mates - nice selection of music as well.

I must say your brother's manual was awesome - how long was that?, ideal tune too, Head from KoRn singing 'Lowrider' .

Are any of you sponsored yet?

Wow VanB, thanks.

I read recently that you also like System and Korn - great minds think alike

The manual was just under 200-250m long if I remember correctly, I was filming it with a wide angle lens (I filmed almost all of the video, and in that shot you can see my shadow) and when he was almost at the end I was saying to myself - don't f*ck this up! It was a miserable day and he'd been doing it for ages, each time having to go back to the top etc...

None of us are sponsored, but I've won a few comps, my brother has won some as well, and both of us are top ranked in Drumnadrochit in our respective sports.

Later on today, I'll upload the two other skate videos we've made, and possible the skate compo I've filmed and won. Since it's a small village, and we're all friends, they all have the same cast. We made one in 2002, and one in 2003, so tonight you can relax and enjoy the whole trilogy It's funny seeing how we've got better over the years...

Yeah I love KoRn, got everything they've released, even got a little KoRn ragdoll thingy (from Issues cover). Did you go see them at the SECC in 2002?. I haven't heard much SOAD in a while, I imagine there'll be an MTV2 fueled come-back album soon though. My fave band is Pearl Jam.

For a small village, you seem to have a plethora of cool stuff, like half-pipes and parks and I did'nt see 1 ned in that whole video . I'm from quite a big town in Fife, and we only have a crappy half-pipe. Not that I can go on half-pipes or that these days, I did do a lot of extreme m-biking, but me bones can't take it anymore. There's more mountain bike trails where I'm from than anything - my favourite track is about 6 miles, pretty much from the top of Auchtertool to the bottom - best at night with only Mossmoran firing away to light the route .

I'd have to be honest VanB - my brothers way more into Korn than me, and he not only has an issues doll, but a signed issues poster as well.

Neil, William and Cameron went to see them in the SECC, infact, Neil has a purple hoodie on in the first video which I'm uploading now, and that was from the SECC.

Me and my brother went to see them in the Point Theatre in Dublin, except I ended up waiting outside (could still hear them though) because tickets were £100.

There are a lot of ned's here, I just choose to edit swearing, alcohol abuse, smoking and ned's out; that way more little children, who are our main audience really (kids like skate!) can watch the film. The skatepark we've got is sh*t as well, the guy who built it didn't make it anything like we wanted it. We've got a lot of mountain bike tracks up here as well, as you can see in "Bike Poofs", but I'm not much of a biker myself. I feel myself getting too old to skate as well; probably going to pack it in after I win this years compo again

@ POWERSOFT: I'd like to say yes, but no. Go ahead and show your vid's in this thread if you want though, I don't mind
