Would it be possible to have a box pop up before a game where you can type your name and then the text-to-speech will say it in a sentence?

There isn't any text-to-speech options in the EA version (Unless I've missed something ). I've used text-to-speech to create a wav file to play in the level. So no way of creating a message on the fly.
